About The Job

As Project Manager you contribute to the (first) project management baseline during the bid phase. You are responsible for a smooth transition of the contract from bid to project phase so to enable realizationof the project within its contractual obligations. You will have the opportunity of working in an exciting and technically challenging domain integrating combat and information management systems with sensors and effectors on board of naval ships. These complex systems include advanced solutions in the area of information processing, information management, user interaction and control of sensors and effectors. Your main responsibilities and duties are to:

  • Lead the Project Management Team;
  • Provide a controlled and predictable execution of the project;
  • Experience reporting project status to stakeholders and;
  • Contribute to project reviews and evaluations;
  • Communicate with all project stakeholders;
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards.


About You

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or similar field;
  • 5 years of minimum experience as Program or Project Manager;
  • Knowledge of system engineering and project management processes;
  • Leadership and team coordination;
  • Strong motivator able to structure with team members on all levels;
  • Experience to elaborate project management documentation;
  • Good capacity to manage risks and opportunities;
  • Ability to monitor and control the project;
  • Capacity to define and direct procurement activities;
  • Financial management of the project;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Flexibility with respect to traveling abroad and being part of an international environment;
  • IPMA certification or equivalent;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
